A homeless kitten sought comfort by snuggling up to the person who saved her, having been discovered hiding beneath a bus.
Sparkle Cat Rescue was called to the rescue once again when a transportation company in North Carolina found a hungry kitten hiding under one of their buses. The workers at the company picked up the little stray and reached out to the rescue for help. Brittany from Sparkle Cat Rescue shared that when they found the kitten, they searched around all the buses and buildings, but there was no sign of any other cat or kitten.
A few days later, Sparkle Cat Rescue received another call from the same company. This time, it was a second kitten, a shy little calico, spotted under one of the vehicles. The calico kitten was crying and cowering under a wheel well, in need of help and a loving home.
At Sparkle Cat Rescue, Stephanie hurried to the location of a distressed kitten in need. Peering up at the wheel, she spotted a scared and dirty little cat cowering in fear. It was evident that the kitten had endured a night alone before being discovered. Stephanie recounted, “She was yowling loudly when I got there, so I knew she must have been terrified.” Determined to help, Stephanie returned to her car to grab some food for the hungry feline. With a gentle voice and a tempting treat in hand, she tried to coax the timid calico out of her hiding spot.

Initially unsure, the kitten eventually gave in to temptation and approached the food with caution. The rescuer gently picked her up and carried her to safety.
“The nearest house is quite a distance away, across a parking lot, leaving us uncertain if the kitten made the journey alone or if a mother cat transported her. No other kittens were found nearby.”

Following a meal, Stephanie carefully placed the tiny kitten in her car and snuggled her up in a cozy blanket. The calico furball stopped meowing the moment she was cradled in Stephanie’s arms, finding comfort and joy in the rescue’s affectionate embrace.

Polly, the tiny kitten they rescued, weighed just a bit over a pound when she was 5-6 weeks old. As soon as she felt secure, her frightened expression disappeared, and all she craved was some affectionate snuggles.
“She soon revealed her love for cuddles,” Brittany told Love Meow.
At Sparkle Cat Rescue, Polly was given a fresh start after a challenging beginning. With a full belly and a safe place to stay, she snuggled happily in the arms of her rescuer, reluctant to be put down. Stephanie observed, “She’s already playing and settling in nicely! It’s amazing to see such a transformation in just one day.”
Sparkle Cat Rescue recently came to the aid of an adorable kitten who was left without a home. Despite no one stepping forward to claim her, a compassionate family who had previously adopted from the rescue couldn’t resist her charms. They have graciously volunteered to foster and potentially adopt the sweet calico. The family is eagerly waiting to introduce her to their resident cat, with hopes that their feline friend will welcome her with open paws. Brittany, a representative from the rescue, expressed optimism that this temporary placement could turn into a forever home for the lucky kitten.
